Counseling and therapy provide some of the best benefits of our intensive outpatient services. Counseling and therapy provide insight into how addiction forms and how difficult moments from our past can create a path that leads towards unhealthy coping mechanisms. Oftentimes receiving proper care and guidance gives patients a fresh perspective into their own behavioral health which provides an opportunity to re-examine the steps that have led to addiction. It isn’t uncommon for traumatic events to lead towards unhealthy coping practices that impact our mental health and how we respond to triggers throughout our lives. At our Central Ohio care facility our staff will facilitate group therapy and individual therapy so patients can learn from the experiences of the staff and to allow patients time to grow together. Grief, trauma, mental health, personal boundaries, relationships, and other topics will be key elements to these therapy sessions.

Addiction can manifest in many different ways and is a sickness that can impact anyone. We believe that anyone can overcome addiction with the right treatment and help and truly care about the recovery and health of our patients. Problems with substance abuse can be extremely difficult to overcome alone and we believe that the care and support of our staff and our rehabilitation services provide a path out of the cycles of addiction. While the treatment at Freedom Recovery focuses on the patient’s overall rehabilitation and recovery we spend time focusing on other aspects of a patient’s overall health to ensure they feel stronger in every way. Patients in our program can expect to receive care to build up their physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health throughout their treatment. Whether a patient is a part of our inpatient program or receiving intensive outpatient care the ultimate goal is to break the cycle of addiction.
