What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment

Freedom Recovery offers unique treatment programs to provide options for clients with a variety of different treatment needs. We offer an Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP as a way to provide rehab options for those who are struggling with addiction. When a patient who is looking for assistance with their addiction recovery enters our IOP program we start with an intake interview. We build out an individualized treatment plan designed for the patient and their needs.

Each plan outlines the patient’s addiction recovery process which allows us to create weekly goals for the patient’s time during our treatment program. Throughout the Intensive Outpatient Program Freedom Recovery offers both individual therapy and group therapy sessions in which we learn about drug and alcohol addiction, how to manage behavioral health, the transition out of rehab back into everyday life, coping strategies, and relapse prevention. Intensive outpatient treatment is a unique form of addiction treatment that allows Freedom Recovery to offer help and services to those who aren’t able to stay at our recovery treatment facility full-time. Who are Intensive Outpatient Programs for?

Patients who are eligible for IOP treatment often have a strong support system outside of our facility. Freedom Recovery has a full staff trained in patient care and support, but with outpatient programs patients spend a majority of their time away from our recovery facility. Because of this it is important for patients to have support outside of our outpatient rehab program to provide support during their recovery. Intensive outpatient programs provide a means for those struggling with addiction to receive help when they are unable to commit to full-time treatment. In cases where a patient is the main financial provider, is a guardian or caregiver, or has responsibilities they cannot take leave from they are able to still get professional care. Intensive outpatient patients will have full access to the staff and services at our treatment facility including therapy, educational sessions, relapse prevention, guidance with mental and physical health, and more. Through the mixture of evidence based treatment and a faith based approach we believe anyone can break their cycle of addiction, get through detox, strengthen their mental health, prevent relapse, and create a strong, healthy life after recovery.

Addiction Recovery in Central Ohio

When entering into recovery programs patients can expect to receive the care and support they need to overcome struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. At Freedom Recovery we use our expertise and our own personal experiences with addiction to guide our patients through their recovery. Working through detox, therapy, coping techniques, and more services offered in our treatment programs we provide a support system that allows patients to navigate their recovery in a safe and supportive environment.

Freedom Recovery offers treatment programs to fit the unique needs of each patient. We offer two different outpatient rehab programs, a standard Outpatient Program, and an Intensive Outpatient Program commonly known as IOP. While each program has unique differences, all of them focus on mental health, behavioral health, relapse prevention, personal growth through therapy, and more.

Rehab Facilities

At our recovery facility in Central Ohio we provide outpatient rehab services. We offer mental health services throughout a patient’s recovery helping them to strengthen their emotional, spiritual, and mental health. Our qualified staff works with each individual patient throughout their recovery to ensure they are receiving the care they need. From detox to behavioral health the Freedom Recovery staff members care about the overall well being of our patients. Being mostly made up of those identifying as Christian, our faith-based program has a strong community.

Our 12-Week Ohio Addiction Treatment Program

Throughout our 12-step recovery program in Columbus Ohio patients will work with our staff to meet weekly goals. We truly care about the health and wellbeing of our patients and want to see them flourish throughout their recovery, during their transition after rehab, and succeed after treatment ends. We will take advantage of different techniques throughout the process to help patients grow stronger in their physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health. Through services like individual and group therapy patients will learn about addiction and what ways their past contributes to addiction, and how to break those addiction cycles. The Freedom Recovery faith-based recovery program helps strengthen the spirituality of our patients through prayer, spiritual counseling, and other spiritual practices. We follow a 12-step evidence based treatment program alongside our faith-based practices to strengthen and build up all aspects of each patient’s life. Whether a patient is struggling with addiction to drugs or alcohol they will receive the care and support they need to make it through their recovery. Our Intensive Outpatient Program Services

Counseling & Therapy

Counseling and therapy provide some of the best benefits of our intensive outpatient services. Counseling and therapy provide insight into how addiction forms and how difficult moments from our past can create a path that leads towards unhealthy coping mechanisms. Oftentimes receiving proper care and guidance gives patients a fresh perspective into their own behavioral health which provides an opportunity to re-examine the steps that have led to addiction. It isn’t uncommon for traumatic events to lead towards unhealthy coping practices that impact our mental health and how we respond to triggers throughout our lives. At our Central Ohio care facility our staff will facilitate group therapy and individual therapy so patients can learn from the experiences of the staff and to allow patients time to grow together. Grief, trauma, mental health, personal boundaries, relationships, and other topics will be key elements to these therapy sessions.

Addiction Recovery

Addiction can manifest in many different ways and is a sickness that can impact anyone. We believe that anyone can overcome addiction with the right treatment and help and truly care about the recovery and health of our patients. Problems with substance abuse can be extremely difficult to overcome alone and we believe that the care and support of our staff and our rehabilitation services provide a path out of the cycles of addiction. While the treatment at Freedom Recovery focuses on the patient’s overall rehabilitation and recovery we spend time focusing on other aspects of a patient’s overall health to ensure they feel stronger in every way. Whether a patient is a part of our inpatient program or receiving intensive outpatient care the ultimate goal is to break the cycle of addiction.

IOP Drug Rehab

Reaching out for help with drug addiction is a big step towards recovery. Our intensive program offers treatment for drug addiction in Columbus, Ohio. We work with patients that have addictions to prescription drugs, opioid dependencies, heroin, painkillers, and more. Our drug rehab program guides patients through the 12-step process helping them to fully understand their addiction to give them tools necessary to break the cycle of addiction. Through our care services we provide educational counseling to create healthier coping mechanisms and create an emotional toolkit that patients will be able to use long after their time in treatment. Both IOP and inpatient drug rehab programs are available.

IOP Alcohol Rehab

For those who struggle with alcohol addiction we offer IOP. Intensive outpatient care allows patients to remain in their place of living, continue working, and even maintain their job if necessary. IOP treatment does have an intensive element to it, meaning mandatory meetings will occur throughout the week at our Central Ohio facility. Each patient will work through our counseling and therapy sessions to better understand their mental health and behavioral health, and how alcoholism affects their life. We teach patients ways to handle triggers and how to react to difficulties we may face after rehab.

Outpatient Rehab

Freedom Recovery offers IOP treatment, but also offers a standard outpatient program. Outpatient care still allows patients to live at their home and maintain their day-to-day responsibilities. Our services are offered to patients regardless of their treatment program. Outpatient rehab is more flexible and has some differences compared to IOP.
